This is basically a short and to the point pricing guide.
A commission piece will basically run around the $150 range. That's basically for a single character semi detailed image. If you're looking for something overly complex, then ithe price goes up. Also, this is the pricing for private use. Commercial use images will cost more. Unless I know you really well, I'll require some money upfront to make sure I don't get stiffed. What's the price breakdown?
$50 for pencils
$50 for inks
$50 for colors
Why so High?
It isn't. It might seem that way from an outsider point of view, but the hours invested in have me selling at quite a low price.
This part needs to be changed.
If the screw up is on my part, that's fine. I'll changed it at no charge or redo if necessary. If the adjustments are because you changed your mind or weren't clear, then it'll cost you more.
What? That sucks!
The simple fact is that I expect the commissioner to know what they want beforehaving me take on a project. Since the amount I quote is an estimate based on how long I think I'll spend, changing your mind throws a big old monkey wrench in my plans and basically has me making even less than I already do.
Okay, hold my spot I'll commission soon!
Sorry, can't hold spots mainly because people tend to not return and I end up sitting there twiddling my thumbs.
So and so charges less than you do!
That's cool. You should probably go ask so-and-so then if their work and price suits you more. Not to sound cold, but I'm not going to beg you to let me work on your stuff. If you don't want to commission my work, life goes on for everyone.
